Floriculture and Nursery Research Initiative
SAF and the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA), representing the U.S. floral and nursery industry, collaborated with USDA’s Agriculture Research Service to develop the Floriculture and Nursery Research Initiative.

The Initiative funds are uniquely responsive to the industry’s needs. Because of the partnership among ARS and university scientists and industry, Initiative-funded projects can focus on those research problems most important to the industry, bringing together the scientists most qualified to address them. The focus of the Initiative can shift quickly as new problems arise.
